
Owner of Poler Communications, Donna has extensive editorial and public
relations experience. Her strong, diversified background as a writer,
editor, corporate communications manager and journalist provides a solid
foundation for her work with businesses. Prior to owning her own business,
Donna was manager, editorial communications, for ADT Security Systems, now ADT Security Services,
a multi-million dollar, international corporation.
Before that, she was a reporter for Forbes Newspapers, where she
covered many beats and wrote numerous hard news stories, features and
editorials. During her career, Donna has also worked in a public relations
agency and held corporate communications positions within The Hearst
Corporation, The CIT Financial Corporation and The Hertz Corporation.
As a consultant, her clients have included Fortune 500 companies, small
businesses, newspapers, magazines and non-profit organizations. A generalist
who can tackle an array of subjects, Donna has specific expertise in the
pharmaceutical, security, telecommunications, yellow pages advertising,
education, retail, newspaper and entertainment industries. A Reiki III
practitioner, she also has an avid interest in holistic health. The proud
owner of an English Springer Spaniel, she is an animal lover who enjoys
writing about pet-related subjects.

A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she earned her summa cum laude
B.A. degree from The City College of New York and holds a Master's degree in
English from the Graduate School and University Center: the City University
of New York, which she received while in a Ph.D. program there. She has
taught writing at Hunter College, Queens College and The City College of New
York.
A member and publicity chair of the Self-employed Writers and Artists
Network (NJ Creatives / S.W.A.N.), she is also a member of the Professional
Writer's Alliance of Mercer County (PWA).
